VIP Annual Meeting
The VIP will hold its Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 31st at 7:00 pm at the Goldstrum Hall, located next to the Victorian Vandergrift Museum and Historical Society on Sherman Avenue.
There will be light refreshments and entertainment will be provided by members of Barbary Wine (www.barbarywine.com). VIP representatives will discuss projects from 2010 and plans for 2011.
Nominations will be accepted through March 18th for Vandergrift Business of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. Awards will be given at the meeting. If you would like to nominate a business or individual, please contact the VIP via email at vip15690@comcast.net with the word "Nomination" in the subject line. Please include the business name or volunteer name and why you are nominating them. Tickets are $10 at the door.

8th Annual Clean Up Day
Saturday, May 7th
8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Columbia Avenue Parking Lot
During this event, Vandergrift and East Vandergrift residents will have the opportunity to do some spring cleaning by bringing unwanted items such as household appliances, electronics, furniture, Freon, batteries, scrap metal, tires, and paper for recycling or other disposal. If you would like to consider volunteering or making a financial contribution to this event please contact the VIP at 724-567-5286.

5th Annual Fine Arts Festival
Saturday, June 4th
11:00 am - 8:00 pm
Grant Avenue
The Fine Arts Festival is meant to provide local artists with an opportunity to share their talents and become inspired by their peers. The festival has grown into an exciting event with live musical entertainment, artists booths, painted palettes lining the streets, a high school chalk walk competition, children's activities, and food vendors. The theme of this year's festival is "Patriotism, Pride and Inspiration." Please visit www.vandergriftfinearts.com for applications and sponsorship forms. The deadline to apply is March 31st.

There will be an exciting array of vendors this year so if you have not shopped at the market in the past, be sure to visit us this season. Friendly vendors, live entertainment, children's activities, and great products make the market a wonderful place to shop. The market accepts SNAP benefit cards (also known as Food Stamps and Access cards) as well as Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and WIC vouchers so there are plenty of ways to complete purchases.
